Ravinder Kapoor popularly known as Goga Kapoor was a well known Bollywood actor. He mostly played negative roles in films. Goga kapoor is best remembered for his role of as Kans in the popular mythological serial Mahabharat and also for the roles like Dinkar Rao in the film Agneepath, Daku Shaitan Singh in the film Toofan, Don in the film Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. Goga Kapoor breathed his last on 3rd March 2011.
Personal and Professional Life:
Goga Kapoor was born as Ravinder Kapoor in Gujranwala(now in Pakistan) on 15th December 1940. Goga Kapoor during his early days worked in several English plays. He started his career in Hindi cinema with the movie Jwala in 1971. Goga Kapoor also had done few regional films.
In a career of over 30 years he had acted in more than 120 movies and some notable among them are Shakti, Satte Pe Satta, Coolie, Mr Natwarlal, Yaarana, Laawaris, Hera Pheri, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Zanjeer, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Phool Aur Kante, Pathar Ke Phool and Run. The last film he appeared was Darwaaza Bandh Rakho in 2006. He is also famous for his role ‘Kans’ in the successful epic serial Mahabharat. Goga Kapoor was also an active committee member of Cine Artistes Association.
Death:
Goga Kapoor was suffering from prolonged illness and he breathed his last on 3rd March 2011 in Mumbai. He was 70 years old at the time of his demise.
